U.S. energy firms added oil and natural gas rigs this week for the first time in three weeks, according to Baker Hughes. The rig count rose by one to 593 as of March 21, although it remains down 31 rigs from the previous year. Oil rigs decreased by one to 486, while gas rigs increased by two to 102. Despite expectations of declining crude prices, the EIA projects an increase in crude and gas output for 2025.
