The Baker Hughes report reveals that the number of active oil and gas drilling rigs in the US rose to 548 this week, a decrease of 37 from the previous year, with the oil rig count remaining stable at 418. Interestingly, crude oil production has reached record levels, averaging 13.636 million barrels per day, despite a decline in the number of rigs in operation. The Permian Basin saw a slight increase in the number of active rigs, whereas the Eagle Ford count remained unchanged.
