According to CNN, the US is considering lifting the ban on defense contractors entering Ukraine to provide direct weapon maintenance for the Ukrainian military. This move, once approved, will enhance Kyiv's advantage against Russia by allowing US defense companies to provide on-site repair and maintenance services for Ukrainian weapons. Additionally, the US Defense Secretary Austin recently held a first-time call with his Russian counterpart Belousov, discussing issues related to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Belousov warned that continued US weapon assistance to Ukraine would escalate the situation further.
