The US Army announced on June 28 that the new Army Prepositioned Stocks site in Poland has started receiving the first batch of tanks and armored vehicles as part of a plan to enhance armored capabilities in Europe, strengthening US presence in the NATO Eastern Flank. By 2025, the site will have 14 M1 Abrams main battle tanks and 1 M88 armored recovery vehicle. This strategically important site, funded by NATO, features advanced facilities and is crucial for quick deployment of armored forces, enhancing deterrence and defense capabilities against potential threats in Europe.
