A U.S. official is urging the Netherlands and Japan to further limit China's access to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The U.S. is pushing for restrictions to prevent China from modernizing its military, following previous measures imposed in 2022. The Netherlands has begun regulating ASML's semiconductor equipment, while the U.S. is considering adding 11 more Chinese chipmaking factories to its restricted list.
