US small-business optimism has surged to its highest level since October 2018, following the presidential election, driven by expectations of favorable policies from President-elect Donald Trump. The National Federation of Independent Business optimism index rose 3.4 points to 105.1, with many businesses anticipating improved conditions and sales. Despite concerns over inflation and labor quality, small business owners are feeling more certain about their economic outlook.
