US stock indexes saw mixed results on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 edging up 0.2%, the Nasdaq composite rising 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increasing by less than 0.1%. Majority of S&P 500 stocks fell, but gains from FedEx and Rivian, the latter receiving a significant investment from Volkswagen, helped offset losses. The Russell 2000 index of smaller companies fell, with the S&P 500 up for the week while the Dow down slightly and the Nasdaq and Russell 2000 showing gains. Year-to-date, S&P 500 and Nasdaq have shown notable increases, while the Dow has a moderate increase and the Russell 2000 is slightly down.
