US stocks began the last week of Q2 with the S&P 500 rising 0.3% and the Nasdaq flipping into the green, overcoming early losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also saw an increase of about 0.7%. The quarter has been prosperous, with the S&P 500 up by 4.5% and the Nasdaq soaring 8% fueled by an AI-driven rally. However, last week, Nvidia, the star of 2024, faced losses from all-time highs, down about 2% in early trading. The focus this week shifts to macroeconomics and the upcoming US presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, as well as the release of the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) index on Friday, which could impact the Federal Reserve's rate cut decisions.
