In response to queries, the US Department of Commerce confirmed that since 2024, the Biden administration has revoked 8 export licenses that allowed certain companies to export products to Huawei, in an attempt to increase pressure on the Chinese tech giant. While Huawei denies security risks and seeks to revitalize its smartphone business with the Mate 60 series, the US Congress continues to pressure the Biden administration to crack down on Huawei, as reported by Reuters. Names of affected suppliers such as Qualcomm and Intel were not disclosed when the licenses were revoked. This move intensifies the ongoing tech war against Huawei by the US hardline camp.
