US wholesale inventories in July were revised down to a 0.1% increase, showing businesses are cautious about restocking after significant reductions in the previous quarter. While inventories of motor vehicles fell by 1.6%, apparel and grocery stocks saw increases of 1.9% and 2.0%, respectively. Overall, sales at wholesalers rose by 1.4% in July, indicating a slight improvement in market activity.
