The U.S. Postal Service announced it will not increase stamp prices in January 2025, marking the first time since 2022 that prices will remain unchanged. This decision follows several hikes, including a July increase that raised the price of a first-class stamp to 73 cents. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy cited declining projected inflation and ongoing efforts to reduce costs as reasons for this pause in price increases, as USPS continues to recover from significant financial losses.
