Two individuals were arrested for vandalizing the iconic prehistoric monument Stonehenge in the UK on June 19th by spraying orange paint on some rocks, with on-site visitors shouting for them to stop and intervening. The environmental group 'Just Stop Oil' members were involved in the incident, demanding the government cease fossil fuel extraction and licenses, leading to the arrest of a 21-year-old Oxford University student and a 73-year-old Birmingham resident. Both the UK Prime Minister and the opposition leader condemned the act, calling it disgraceful and deserving of sanctions. The group's call for the gradual phase-out of fossil fuels by 2030 was also highlighted.
