Venezuela's oil exports rose by 15% in January, reaching approximately 867,000 barrels per day, bolstered by a significant increase in shipments from Chevron and higher demand from China. Despite the U.S. not renewing broad export authorizations, individual licenses enabled exports to the U.S., Europe, and India. Chevron's exports hit a record 294,000 bpd, while China remained the top market with 442,000 bpd. Exports to Europe doubled, although shipments to Cuba fell. Challenges such as declining heavy crude inventories may impact future export levels.
