Vietnam's currency, the dong, has plummeted to a record low against the dollar, dropping 0.5% to 25,516 per dollar. This decline follows six consecutive days of lower reference rates set by the State Bank of Vietnam, intensifying concerns over tariffs introduced by Donald Trump, which have put pressure on emerging-market currencies. The central bank's reference rate was adjusted to a new low of 24,522 dong per dollar, indicating potential further weakening of the currency.
