Vietnam's coffee supply has been constrained due to farmers hoarding beans in anticipation of higher prices and delays in harvesting caused by heavy rain. Despite the current disruptions, the situation is expected to improve by late December, with an increase in supply anticipated as farmers prepare to sell ahead of the Lunar New Year. The country's coffee production for the 2024-25 season is projected to rise to about 28 million bags, up from 26.7 million bags in the previous season.
