A group of Vietnamese escapee migrant workers tried to climb over a wall to escape, but ended up accidentally entering Taipei Detention Center in Tucheng District, where they were surrounded and subdued by detention center staff. The incident occurred when police officers were conducting patrol duties and confronted a suspicious van illegally parked. The five individuals inside immediately ran out but were later identified as escapee migrant workers from Vietnam. Despite attempting to avoid capture by climbing over a wall, they ended up inside the Taipei Detention Center, where they were captured. Some managed to escape from the scene. The detained individuals will be repatriated for illegal staying.
