Vietnamese French Bread Causes 514 Cases of Food Poisoning, Court Verdict Revealed

Reported about 1 year ago

A Vietnamese French bread shop named 'Ah Zhen Vietnamese French Bread' in the Zhongzhen Market in Taoyuan was found to have poor hygiene in August last year, leading to 514 cases of food poisoning. The Taoyuan District Court ruled that the shop violated food hygiene regulations under the Food Safety and Sanitation Management Act, causing harm to human health, resulting in an 8-month prison sentence with a 2-year probation. The shop owner neglected food storage and cooking environment cleanliness, which led to the sale of contaminated food and subsequent food poisoning symptoms in consumers.
