Vietnamese Woman Lured to Taiwan for Caregiver Job, Ends Up Forced into Prostitution and Abused

Reported 7 months ago

A 43-year-old man named Chen and his 37-year-old wife in Kaohsiung operated a health center and lured a Vietnamese woman named Huahua (pseudonym) to Taiwan under the guise of working as a caregiver for Chen's father. However, she was imprisoned by the couple and forced to serve clients for nearly a year without rest, even during her menstrual period. It was not until the Immigration Agency's Southern District Branch intervened that she was rescued. The perpetrators have been charged with violating anti-human trafficking laws, moral corruption, hindering freedom, forging documents, and violations of employment service laws.
