A man at a hospital in Sydney, Australia, attacked staff with a knife, injuring 3 security guards and 1 nurse. The 39-year-old attacker was subdued by 4 staff members and arrested by the police. The injured individuals are in stable condition with minor injuries. The man's mental health and history of substance abuse will be investigated. Calls for increased hospital security and support for traumatized staff were made by the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association secretary.
