Virginia-based technology company resolves accusations concerning a job posting restricted to white applicants

Reported 4 months ago

A tech company based in Virginia, Arthur Grand Technologies, has settled allegations by paying $38,500 for posting a job listing that discriminated against non-white candidates. The listing sought only white, U.S.-born candidates for a business analyst role, specifying they must be local within 60 miles from Dallas, TX. The settlement with the Justice Department includes compensating individuals who filed complaints, a penalty, and training personnel on federal hiring and discrimination laws, with the company attributing the ad to a recruiter in India. The firm did not return requests for comment.
