According to a physician, due to the recent 'virus chaos,' hospital emergency rooms have become overcrowded with cases including COVID-19 and fungal infections, leading to pediatric patients having to wait at least 3 days for a bed. With a shortage of nursing staff, the situation has worsened, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to peak in August and September. Physicians suggest initiating patient diversion in order to manage the lack of beds and personnel in emergency rooms, especially as respiratory illnesses persist despite entering summer.
