Vista Energy, an Argentine oil driller, has signed an agreement with SLB to import a new fracking array to boost production in the Vaca Muerta shale region. The company aims to increase output by 55%, reach 85,000 barrels a day by year-end, and start production on 138 new oil wells by 2026 to achieve a daily production target of 100,000 barrels. Vista has doubled production since 2018, with its shares rising over 1,000% in three years, and expects to surpass output targets for upcoming years. The move is seen as a significant investment in the pro-business environment under President Javier Milei.
