Volkswagen is delaying the launch of its ID.7 electric sedan in the US and Canada due to changing market dynamics, including a decline in EV demand and the decreasing popularity of sedans. Despite plans to bring 25 EV models to North America by 2030, the German automaker is shifting its focus towards plug-in hybrids, as indicated by Volkswagen Passenger Cars CEO Thomas Schäfer. Volkswagen has also formed partnerships, such as with XPeng in China, to produce new EVs under the Volkswagen brand.
