After disputes, Walmart and Capital One have decided to end their exclusive credit card partnership, which started in 2018. Walmart accused Capital One of delays in updating transactions and providing card replacements, leading to a lawsuit. Despite the termination, cardholders can still use and redeem rewards, while Capital One will maintain the existing $8.5 billion credit card portfolio. Capital One announced a separate acquisition of Discover Financial Services earlier in the year.
