Walmart's Mexico and Central America unit recorded a 1.4% increase in fourth-quarter net profit, reaching 15.2 billion pesos, which was slightly below analysts' forecasts of 16.55 billion pesos. Despite a jump in general expenses and facing a possible fine from Mexico's antitrust authority, the retailer's net sales grew by 8.3%, supported by successful store expansions and increased e-commerce transactions.
