This investment follows a recent announcement of a $600 million investment in Costa Rica over the same period. Walmart's Mexico and Central America unit, Walmex, reported strong sales growth in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Honduras in the first quarter, while Costa Rica saw moderate growth.
