Nationalist Party legislator Wang Hongwei accused President's Office Secretary General Pan Meng'an of residing in a mansion worth 50 million during President Lai Ching-te's campaign, leading Pan to file a lawsuit demanding compensation of 1.5 million NTD from Wang and the removal of Facebook posts. Pan personally appeared in court today (6/25), stating that Wang's intentions were malicious and aimed to influence the election outcome by continuously questioning his integrity. The court is set to announce the verdict on July 23 at 4 p.m.
