At the 'Anti-Arbitrary Rule, Protect Democracy' rally in Taipei on June 16, heavy rain did not deter the participants from supporting the event. DPP Legislator Wang Shih-cheng strongly criticized the Kuomintang, shouting 'Your KMT doesn't have a blue bird!' and suggested that KMT lawmakers bring out the blue bird, topple the government, dissolve the parliament, and hold a full-scale election to prevent social unrest. Wang emphasized the need for parliamentary reform and criticized the mishandling of proposals by the opposition. He also accused the KMT of attempting major schemes that could benefit mainland China. Attendees were urged to continue supporting the DPP against the 'evil blue-and-white camp.'
