A man in New Taipei City's Xinzhuang district was ambushed and assaulted by enemies after dining at a shrimp fishing spot with friends. Despite being injured, he jumped into a nearby drain to evade the police as he had three arrest warrants. Witnesses described the chaotic scene with the victim and his friends trying to hide from the authorities, eventually getting caught. The altercation stemmed from a previous altercation over a drinking incident. The assailant, surnamed Qiu, orchestrated the ambush after seeing the victim's social media post at the shrimp fishing spot. The victim's drastic action of jumping into the drain further exacerbated his injuries.
