On June 17, 2024, at 6:36 PM, Zheng Mingdian posted an image on his social media, warning about a strong convective system with a long axis exceeding 500 kilometers, describing it as an efficient and long-lived disastrous rainfall system. The Central Weather Bureau reported the possibility of scattered brief showers in western Taiwan, while other areas would remain mostly cloudy with occasional sunshine. Zheng Mingdian's post emphasized the risk of localized heavy rain, especially in major Taipei, northeast, and central mountainous areas. The weather bureau issued a high-temperature warning for Taitung County due to the probability of heat convection winds. Additionally, precautions were advised for UV exposure and staying hydrated in the extremely hot weather conditions.
