The Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain special report due to vigorous convective cloud development, leading to short-lived heavy rainfall in various regions. Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Nantou County have already experienced heavy rain, with the possibility of localized heavy rain or torrential rain in Hualien County today. Miaoli to Nantou, Yilan, Taitung, and Hsinchu mountainous areas also face chances of heavy rain. Caution against lightning strikes, strong gusts, landslides, rockfalls in mountainous areas, and flooding in low-lying areas.
