The Taipei Wenshan First Police Precinct recently received reports from residents about a building on Xinglong Road, Section 4, where multiple households had been without water for several days. Upon investigation, it was discovered that over 50 water meters had been stolen from the rooftop of the building. A specialized task force was immediately formed to handle the case, and through surveillance footage analysis, the police identified suspects who had intentionally targeted blind spots in the cameras and wore masks to evade detection. Eventually, two suspects, including one involved in a drug trafficking case, were apprehended, and stolen water meters were recovered from a recycling factory in the Songshan District. The suspects confessed to the crime and were charged with theft, demonstrating the dedication of the Taipei police in solving the case and ensuring the safety of residents.
