Waymo is recalling over 600 self-driving vehicles after one of them hit a pole in Arizona, resulting in no injuries. The whole fleet of 672 vehicles is involved in the recall, prompted by a software update for better pole detection and a map update for clearer road edges near poles. The incident involved a driverless Waymo vehicle in Phoenix last month, causing damage to the vehicle but no harm to passengers or others on the road.
