Indian billionaire Prakash Hinduja and his family have been sentenced to 4 to 4.5 years in prison by a Swiss court for exploiting domestic workers brought from India, paying them less than 1/10 of the Swiss minimum wage, making them work 18-hour days, and providing worse conditions than their family pets. Despite settling privately with three workers, prosecutors pursued the case, revealing the family's mistreatment. The Hinduja family, worth $20 billion, operates across various industries and previously faced similar charges in 2007. Lawyers plan to appeal the recent ruling due to the elderly ages and health issues of the defendants.
