Taiwan Television News Network reported on June 9, 2024, at 4:38 am that due to the strong development of convective cloud systems, short-duration heavy rain is likely. The Central Weather Bureau has issued a heavy rain warning for multiple counties and cities, expanding the alert to 16 areas where localized heavy rain is expected. Yilan County and Hualien County are forecasted to experience heavy thunderstorms until 17:15 and 16:45, respectively. There is a probability of heavy rain in certain areas, and precautions against lightning, strong gusts, landslides, rockfalls, and flooding are advised. Take care during this heavy rain alert.
