The Central Weather Bureau stated that from Tuesday to next Sunday, the southwest wind will affect central and southern regions, bringing brief showers or thunderstorms. Today, the warm and humid air brought by the southwest wind on the southern side of the front over the northern sea of Taiwan causes intermittent showers or thunderstorms in the south, localized showers or thunderstorms in the central region, and partly cloudy to clear skies in other areas with possible short thunderstorms in the afternoon. There's a probability of localized heavy rain in the southern regions and mountain areas in the afternoon. Rising temperatures and a chance of heat thunderstorms in the southeast regions are expected from Wednesday to Saturday. The south, east, and southeast regions will have localized short showers due to strengthening Pacific high pressure from the 17th to the 19th, while other areas will be partly cloudy to clear with possible short thunderstorms in the afternoon. The bureau advises that due to the unpredictable weather influenced by the southwest wind this week, there is a chance of heavy rain in the southern regions and mountain areas, reminding to be cautious of landslides, collapses, and falling rocks, especially during rapid thunderstorms and in mountainous regions.
