Weekend Thunderstorms to Watch Out Despite Decrease in Moisture; Northern Taiwan Expected to Soar to 'Purple Explosion' High of 37 Degrees Next Week

Reported 12 months ago

As the Pacific high-pressure system dominates, various regions can expect clear to partly cloudy weather with afternoon thunderstorms before the weekend. However, after the weekend, the thunderstorm coverage will expand, and rain in the central, southern, and northern mountainous areas may extend into the evening hours. The northern and central-southern mountainous areas, including Greater Taipei, may see temperatures soaring up to 37 degrees. Due to increased high-pressure influence before the weekend, moisture levels will decrease, leading to weakened rainfall chances as indicated by the Central Weather Bureau.
