Weng Hsiao-Ling's proposed amendment to the Constitution Litigation Law, which specified a total of 15 constitutional justices, was rejected in the Legislative Yuan. KMT legislator Lin Chun-Hsien criticized the proposal, stating that it could paralyze the constitutional court. The amendment was deemed by Lin as crude legal work, leading to its rejection by the committee. Lin highlighted the repercussions of the proposed changes and accused the KMT of aiming to limit the constitutional court's powers through personnel issues. Lin questioned the quality of Weng's legal expertise, calling the proposal excessively rough and unsophisticated.
