What to Do with Old Textbooks? A Lesson on Environmental Education

Reported about 1 year ago

As graduation season arrives in June 10, 2024, different schools approach the disposing of old textbooks in varied ways - from throwing them all outside the classroom to creating meaningful art projects. In Taoyuan's Zhongshan Elementary School, over 500 graduates cut up their textbooks and made them into feather-like shapes, forming large wings symbolizing taking flight into the future with an eco-friendly message. This creative approach, initiated by teacher Zhang Huiwen, emphasizes cooperation, environmental protection, and global citizenship, with the hope of making the world a more beautiful place. The school principal, Cai Shuhua, encourages the graduates to soar high and be world citizens through this unique project.
