The song quickly reached the number one spot on the KKBOX real-time chart after its release. To infuse more emotions of the drama's characters into the music, White Waves collaborated with drama director Cai Yifen in writing the lyrics, accurately conveying the role played by Chen Tingni in the series. The music video was also directed by Cai Yifen, giving White Waves a unique experience working with a director for the first time.
