Who are the Fake Whampoa? Can President Lai's Efforts Wake up the Dormant?

Reported 8 months ago

President Lai Ching-te, as the Commander-in-Chief, recently attended the 100th anniversary celebration of the Military Academy at Whampoa and emphasized that true military officers must fight for the survival and development of the Republic of China, as well as the safety and well-being of the people of Taiwan and its surrounding islands. He mentioned that those lacking this ambition are considered 'fake Whampoa.' President Lai's remarks were met with applause by alumni, although some individuals in Taiwan, who have received education from the Fengshan Military Academy, have been misled into participating in events hosted by the Chinese Communist Party. The need to revise military and national anthems to reflect national rather than party allegiance was also highlighted, along with the suggestion to change military role models to figures like Sun Li-jen to align with the nationalization of the armed forces.
