Struggling to get rid of Helicobacter pylori? Those familiar with the 'triple therapy' for H. pylori infections may find it less effective nowadays due to bacterial resistance. However, a new study suggests combining triple therapy with one probiotic bacteria can effectively combat H. pylori. Proton pump inhibitors, clarithromycin, and amoxicillin/metronidazole are typically used in triple therapy to target H. pylori. With the increasing bacterial resistance, the eradication rate of triple therapy has declined over time, making the addition of probiotics a potentially successful treatment method to enhance eradication rates.
