FTNN News, June 7, 2024, 10:40 PM. Taiwan is approaching an ultra-aging society, yet Wu Chuncheng, a legislator advocating for the middle-aged and elderly, has discovered the predominantly negative impressions society holds towards the elderly. He found that over 70% of children's books, picture books, and textbooks portray the elderly in a negative light, labeling them as witches or monsters. Wu urges the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education to address this issue and reverse the negative stereotypes surrounding the elderly, emphasizing the importance and positive attributes that come with aging.
