The Hsinchu Baseball Stadium, built under former Mayor Lin Chih-chien with a budget of 1.2 billion, faced multiple flaws leading to injuries among professional baseball players, resulting in the stadium being closed for renovation to date. Despite successful bidding for the soil removal and redesign projects, progress has been impeded by ongoing delays caused by the construction contractor, preventing the city government from proceeding smoothly. Efforts are being made to complete the improvement works by next April if external factors causing delays are eliminated.
