Two-time IndyCar champion Will Power claimed victory at Road America, ending a 34-race winless streak and moving into first place in the championship standings after seven races. With his first win since 2022, Power now leads defending series champion Alex Palou by five points. Power, who is tied with Michael Andretti for fourth in IndyCar history, expressed his determination to win the championship after a Team Penske podium sweep. Scott Dixon's title hopes took a hit as he finished 21st. The next race will take place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on June 23.
