Reported about 1 year ago
In recent years, Taipei's Zhongshan shopping district has become a popular cultural and creative spot for young people and tourists, but over 100 stores have been reported between April and July this year, receiving notices from the Department of Urban Development to improve within two months. This has led to the formation of a self-help association among store owners, initiating a petition to save the district. City councilor Chen Yijun criticized the city government for letting the district face challenges despite promotion and assistance, questioning the mayor's motivation and urging swift action to protect the district's interests.
