In the Wimbledon second round, Taiwanese tennis player Su-Wei Hsieh and her current Belgian partner Elise Mertens, the current world number one in women's doubles, defeated the British player Appleton/Yakoko with ease, advancing to the next round in just over an hour. This victory marked Hsieh's 20th consecutive win across seasons at Wimbledon. With Hsieh and Mertens partnering, they have won various tournaments this year, including the Australian Open, Birmingham Championships, and now Wimbledon.
