The Wimbledon tennis tournament in 2024 is set to kick off on July 1st with the women's doubles draw finalized, including three Taiwanese pairs set to compete. Hsieh Su-wei, the four-time Wimbledon women's double champion, is teaming up with Belgian partner Elise Mertens to defend their title. Taiwanese player Chan Hao-ching, seeded 12th in the tournament with Russian partner Veronika Kudermetova, is also set to compete in the first round. Another Taiwanese player, Wu Fang-hsien, will team up with Japanese player Makoto Ninomiya for the first time to face American opponents in their opening match.
