In the past two decades, the disparity in income distribution in Taiwan has worsened, leading to an increasing number of people not meeting the average salary. By comparing the statistics released by the authorities for the median salary and the new salary distribution estimation method, it is estimated that achieving an annual salary of 700,000 would place one ahead of 70% of the employed population. This estimation, released monthly, provides more timely and valuable policy insights compared to the annual median salary release.
