Reported about 1 year ago
In a recent incident on the Taipei Metro, a 25-year-old woman surnamed Lin was demanded to give up her priority seat by an 80-year-old lady but refused due to fatigue after a 12-hour workday. This led to a confrontation involving another elderly man, Mr. Lee, who insisted Lin apologize and threatened to sue her. After the apology, Lin broke down emotionally, repeatedly hitting her head against a pillar until she bled profusely. Fortunately, she was promptly treated and not in critical condition. The altercation received attention online, with witnesses citing the pressure placed on Lin to yield her seat and the subsequent escalation of events.
